The Cloquet Area Fire District offers a comprehensive fire and fall program to older adults in our community. This program is centered around 16 key messages about fire and fall prevention.
According to the National Fire Protection Association, at the age of 65, older adults are twice as likely to be killed or injured by fires compared to the population at large. By age 75, that risk increase to three times that of the general population - and four times by age 85.
